• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When Only On Street Angled Parking is available, do you back in, or drive in?

I didn't know they had those anymore? Anyway, when they did, I backed my 2-wheeled machine into those parking spots. Safer to back into a parking spot than to back into traffic. JMHO

Interesting item in Loaner Waiver at the dealership

Who cares? I've owned and ridden 2-wheeled, 3-wheeled, and 4-wheeled (sport) machines for 70+ years, and I've never been stopped, checked, or otherwise for any reason. I have a M/C endorsement, but why? Because some bureaucrats who know little to nothing about M/C's said so. Most bureaucrats are...

How do I buy controls for a Right-Hand Only Spyder?

Wes, you are not far from Baja Ron. I'd give him a call and see what he has to say. Good luck in your attempt to master a Spyder with one arm. Please keep us posted in your quest. I'm sure there's someone else out there who'd like to ride but has the same problem as you.

My Back between the shoulders hurts after 6 hours of riding - anyone else? Would handlebar risers help? Is this normal?

Though I've had all kinds of sports machines, I also had your issue. It's a new machine to you, and your body is not used to that riding position. I'd go with Cosmo's recommendations first before spending a lot of unnecessary money on things that may not work. Good luck.

Do People Get Thrown Off of Spyders?

What can you say, some people simply can't walk and chew gum at the same time, and the rest of us suffer for it. After herding cows for years on a quadrunner, the spyder was no challenge to me at all. When I let my wife drive the spyder for the first time, she said, "this is just like riding the...

Do I really need to Change O-Rings at Every Oil Change? Do you?

Save yourself from a possible future headache, get rid of those frick'n OEM oil plugs. They may work for a while, but when one strips out, you're in for some real fun. Toss'm now and save yourself from the inevitable. And yes, I closely inspect the rubber o-rings, and if still good, I don't...

Has anyone added Marvel Mystery Oil - any comments?

I've dumped a heavy dose of fuel additive/preservative into the tank and taken my machine for a short ride in the past before storing it for the winter. I couldn't tell any difference when I first started it up in the spring, regardless of whether I did that procedure or not. The best rule of...

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

In short, you have to get into the water before you can learn to swim. Buy one, and if you don't like it, sell it. My GF has been 2up with me for over 50 years, both on 3 wheels and on 2 wheels. She's the one who chose the RT Spyder over the Harley. If the GF is not happy, no one is happy!

Has anyone added Marvel Mystery Oil - any comments?

Why would you add any substance to your fuel or oil if your machine is operating perfectly as it should?

Is it possible to do an Oil Change without a lift?

"Sarge707. I tried it and was only able to get 3.6 of the 5.3 by suction on my 2014 RT. So doesn't look like this is going to work well for me." That's just what I was wondering? Sent my oil in to be tested at 10K, and the answer was, "still usable," so I ran it to 12K and changed oil and the...

Anyone make an Insulated cup and mount for an RT for the passenger side?

My wife has exactly what racoon posted. Works great, but don't forget to get off the Spyder opposite the cup and the holder.

Is Running Diesel Oil in Your Spyder such a good idea?

After spending my own time researching oils, I don't think there's a more intensely debated subject than oils, unless maybe it's tires. I've found that I much rather enjoy the freedom of the road than hashing and rehashing the debate on oils and tires. There are many quality brands out there to...

Does anyone have a Part# or source for Baffle(s) for the Akropovic Sinister Silencer on a 2015 F3-S?

You can go online and find any kind of baffles you want and install them yourself. Generally, it is not the baffles that go bad, it is the packing that needs replacing.

Struggling to find anyone in Indiana to Service a 2009 Spyder V-Twin - any thoughts?

You are only 388 miles from BajaRon, so scoot down there and see him. That's what I'd do if I were you.

Rear ACS/suspension on 2015 RT seems to have failed - anyone else? How did you address it?

If it is in the bottom, put some green slime in there. Not too much.

What price should I be asking for a 2014 RT Limited Seat & Backrest?

Sad to say, that while your seat may be in pristine condition and shipping charges are what they are, they make your seat nearly worthless. I ended up with two sets of Super Chocks (don't ask how that happened), but to ship them to a buyer cost as much as the chocks cost new. So, don't be...

Spyder shopping - 998 vs 1330, is the 1330 that much better?

The 998 is a two-cylinder motor, and the 1330 is a three-cylinder motor. The 1330 is way more powerful and much more fuel efficient. They brought out the 1330 in 2014, and it is possibly one of the least problematic models of the 1330 lineup. However, knowing this forum, my last sentence will be...

Have you experienced any Road rage incidents?

Good thinking! Exit stage right ASAP. You never know what they could be pack'n to backup their play.

Any suggestions on a good riding camera - need one, after a road rage incident!

Careful with those dam suction cup mounts. They make things exciting when they come off by themselves at freeway speeds. LOL, don't ask me how I know that.
