• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    A Message for the Moderators

It's a fact that some folks haven't got what they paid for when they bought a new Spyder. It's great that owners share their good and bad experiences. This is what makes this forum so valuable.

    Saw this FS on Ebay

BajaRon asks: why did they go to a dual flange? He musta forgot that there were cases early on where the belt was so far out of alignment that it cut into the transmission case. 'Correctly' being the operative word.

2008 GS SM5 engaging Reverse without using lever! Any ideas why? Fixes??

Have you looked down at the reverse lever at the bottom end of the cable to see why it's not returning? Perhaps the spring down there is broken. It's not a clutch issue.

2009 Front Sprocket - WHAT shape are the teeth on the shaft?

I don't recall what tension the belt has. I haven't needed to check it for some years. I'm sure though, it would be at the low end of the spec. I'll dig out my Krickit later and check it. So I gather you're going to have it stripped down to replace the shaft - correct?

2009 Front Sprocket - WHAT shape are the teeth on the shaft?

Yes. You may need loctite 660 to fix it if it's loose in the bore.

2009 Front Sprocket - WHAT shape are the teeth on the shaft?

12 hrs is what the BRP book probably says. I would double it and expect the person doing it to regret they ever got involved. Over tight belt also caused the driven pulley bearing to flog the bore it fits into, causing it to be loose. This can be checked by grabbing the big pulley at 12 and...
