• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Random thought for the day

This reminds of a trip many years ago. Myself, along with friends, went to do a rafting trip down the New River, I believe in West Virginia. One gal, not from our group, had strong fragrance about her. All the flying bugs were attracted to her and she just swatted at them all day. She did not...

Looking to install Cameras - where can I find a wire that comes on with the key on?

When you are checking for the wire under the seat, it may not be hot unless the engine is running, not just the key turned on. The 2020 F3L I had did not energize that wire until it was running. This is a great reason to get a shop type manual for your Spyder.

New Ride: 2024 RT Limited Hyper Silver

Be sure to read the manual completely from the front cover to the back cover. Multiple times also. Make sure you understand how to check the oil levels in these wet clutch engines. It is nothing like any other engines I have ever owned. Ryde the Spyder for about 10 miles then idle for additional...

Info that might help when replacing front sprocket!

Check the "belt tensioner" bearing. You don't want any motion on the roller other than rotating. No side to side motion etc. My 2023 tensioner started making noise around 15k miles so I took it off. I can feel zero difference with or without the tensioner on the spyder.

My '21 F3 Ltd is Pulling to the Right - any ideas on what to check next?

Double check your tire pressure. Use a good gauge like a digital or dial gauge (no push out the top type that is pencil shaped) and keep the tires within 1/2 pound pressure side to side. Do this with COLD tires that haven't been driven (like first thing in the morning) or several hours after...

Are the rear wheels for 2015 RT's and 2023 RT's Identical?

I don't know, but something one can do is check the part number on both wheels and see if they match. Using: https://www.partshark.com might help, or anyone else selling Can Am parts.

Just bought my first Spyder! Considering buying a warranty as it sat for 4 years - your thoughts?

Be sure to read the manual completely from the front cover to the back cover. Multiple times also. Make sure you understand how to check the oil levels in these wet clutch engines. It is nothing like most other engines I have ever owned. Ryde the Spyder for about 10 miles then idle for...

It looks like the FOBO TPMS site has gone belly up! Just letting you know...

About once a week it will do the same to me. When this happens to me I will try it again a couple of hours later then I can read my tire pressure. This has been going on for the past 6 months or so. I have been using FOBO for the past four years. I am grateful my tires only need air...

2016 Spyder F3-T - is this a Battery showing signs of age/decay? Or is it not charging? If so, why?

Ditto @johnv50. I have had the Noco NLP20 for 14 months on my 2023 RTL and love it. I ryde enough not to need to use a maintainer, but have it laying on the shop floor should the need arise. The engine spins over so much nicer with the extra cranking power than the stock battery which came from...

Anyone using Tire Beads? How much?

I know this is an old thread, but here is a recent youtube video explaining and showing why tire beads work.

Any feedback or Comments on the complexity of the RTL?

I purchased a 2023 RTL in August of 2023, and now with 26k miles on it, I have had zero problems electrically. Prior to the RT, I had a 2020 F3L with around 40k miles on that, with no electrical gremlins either. No complaints other than the sorry battery it came with, but that was changed to a...

Did something change? Now need a magnifying glass to read this Font size, even on extra large font - what am I missing?

If I am on a website that has small print, I will often hold the Control key and the + key simultaniously to increase the font size. Each time one hits the + sign the font increases one size. The same works in reverse if the - sign is used, fonts get smaller. This is most often for websites I...

About to pull the trigger on a 2023 or 2025 Spyder RT Dark - what am I really paying for? Any other major considerations on differences?

I have owned two Spyders, a 2020 F3L, and currently a 2023 RTL. You will be plenty pleased with the 2023 RT and probably with zero regrets. For me, I am not a fan of extra electronics, so any added on my vehicles is of no value, but that's me. The Engine is the same and suspension should be...

Anyone experienced difficulties with the Gas filler cover on an Ultimate Seat for 2021 RT?

I picked up an Ultimate in March of this year. No problems with the gas cover. They were good folks to deal with also.

Do People Get Thrown Off of Spyders?

I will often think about getting another two wheeler, but I just have too much fun on the Spyder. For me, it would take me more than just a few miles to acclimate between the two bikes.

My Back between the shoulders hurts after 6 hours of riding - anyone else? Would handlebar risers help? Is this normal?

Don't let the name "short reach bars" fool you. Being vertically challenged, I was fortunate that my first Spyder F3L had short reach bars on them which the prior owner had installed. Short reach bars extend the grips further back toward the rider than the standard bars. This lets your posture...

Do People Get Thrown Off of Spyders?

Coach Bob 3 gives some pointers on steering a Spyder. His videos helped me when I started riding 4 years ago. Here is one of his videos on steering: I had about 5 years on 2 wheels, then 35 years off two wheels before getting on a Spyder. It took me some time to get the good feel of riding a...
