• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Have any of you running Lithium batteries had issues with electronics?

I've had a Shorai in my F3S for 6yrs now without ANY issues. Wife even managed to disconnect the tender lead somehow and I didn't catch it for a month or so during winter!!

    Broke down in Anthem AZ

Just so you know, it is NOT really "included" it is baked into the price and averages 52.00 per tire. Still, it is nice to have and it has paid off for me on a 550.00 tire!!

If you bottom out your 20-22 Can Am watch this video

A word of caution... DON'T do it!! The springs aren't designed for and can't handle the "side loading" and flex inducing fulcrum points that these "inserts" create and will eventually break! Can't tell you how many I have pulled out of cars with broken springs... OP: A happy middle ground...

998cc Bike shakes and shudders when I put it in gear - any ideas why?

I would be inspecting your vacuum lines. High idle usually means a vacuum leak and the lines on your model are prone to hardening and cracking... BR should have replacements as well....

Site slowed down with loading noticed.

It most likely has to do with your ISP and how they handle your traffic... Some use a nefarious method called "traffic shaping" which is a fancy term for selective downloading depending on quantity, type etc. With a VPN all they see is an encrypted stream and cannot apply algorithms to it.

What are your thoughts on a Front wheel drive Spyder?

The primary problem with FWD is it makes the steering "heavier" when the wheels are being "driven"... In a small package like our Spyders it would be a very noticeable thing and detrimental to how it handles... Plus the boost needed from the DPS would be well beyond what it can do without...

Any Way to disable VSS/Traction control or severely dumb it down?

Have you looked at the Yokohama Advan Fleva for the rear and the Federal Formoza AZ-01's for the fronts? I use them on my F3S... I don't know the sizes you need but worth it to look! Both are GREAT performance tires...

Is it possible to do a DIY reflash on an F3?

You cannot do it yourself if you want the Monster/WickIt tuning.. You can do it yourself with a DynoJet Powervision but I don't feel the tune is as "refined".... If you do it thru WickIt or Monster (one in the same) I highly recommend the Stage 2...

    Broke down in Anthem AZ

Wow! What an ordeal... That really sucks. Glad you are back home and can relax and breathe again! Nothing like having a major breakdown on a road trip. We all have our own versions of this nightmare...YUCK! :sour:

    Anyone verified Aftermarket Performance Gains?

It has been quite awhile since he was involved in doing this and honestly, I haven't heard from him since.. It was more of a "like minded" & long distance acquaintance type of thing and his communication just trailed off... I would have to go back and see if I saved his emails about the...

    Shout out to JT Thorne

I have that tire on my F3-S and I run 14 in mine with PERFECTLY even treadwear. I have 8k HARD miles on it and am 55% worn... So the lower pressure should be just fine. Your bike is heavier than mine so prob stay with 16-18...

    Anyone verified Aftermarket Performance Gains?

It can be done yes, but you have to change so many components to do it that it makes it a non-starter for most... Last I read, you would have to obtain a new ECM & TCM that are "PAIRED" to each other for the 89T, plus the dash would need to be paired to them and I don't think that can be done...

    Shout out to Laam seats

He likes to do most of his stuff as a "Touring" type setup (has you leaning back to your backrest if you have one type of thing) BUT, if you can articulate it well enough and with his willingness to correct what isn't right, you can get a very Sport oriented setup that works with your "injuries"...

Does the ECU need re-mapping after cat-delete?

Well, not if you are using the same ECU. But if you are switching between 2 ECU's then yes, the second ECU needs to be "married" to the bike when installed. Switching back and forth between the two requires the same procedure to be done each time as the bike won't recognize the ECU unless you do...

Does the ECU need re-mapping after cat-delete?

As stated you can just ride with the adaptions that the ECU will make... Will it be the best it can be? NO... But then again, the byke isn't the best it can be from the factory... You would need to remap it for that.... There is a LOT left on the table with these things... Honestly, I didn't...

So what's the difference, apart from the name? (Coilover springs)

Being that the RT Pro site is centered around off-road which is a harsher environment, I would feel comfortable using stuff from them. I DO LIKE powder coat vs any other coating on a spring too!!
  19. Hypurone

So what's the difference, apart from the name? (Coilover springs)

It usually comes down to the makeup of the material used in a spring (not all compositions of a material like chrome vanadium or chrome moly alloy is the same) that can separate it from the others and then how it is actually made... Such as its heat treatment process or cryogenic hardening to...

Long term storage of spare tyre - how?

That is the LAST thing you want to do. It will flat spot even with no weight on it... Higher performance tires will do it sooner than "mileage" versions but still... Lay it down on its side and flip it over every month. Cool (66-72deg), dry and no sunlight in a sealed bag for Ozone protection...
