• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do I go to a higher speed on Cruise control?

Ok, went out today, I must have been in a daze previously lol. When you're at the desired cruising speed, push the button down and release to set that speed as your cruise speed. If you want to increase your speed either hold the button up, and it'll speed up, and release when you reach your...

How do I go to a higher speed on Cruise control?

I just went out and checked mine and it is indeed labeled as @Snoking1127 described it working, but I swear it doesn't work that way... but you have me doubting my self now. I'm going to have to go for a ride to check.

How do I go to a higher speed on Cruise control?

Push up and HOLD until the new speed takes. Push up and let go moves it up in 1KPH increments, down drops it by 1KPH per push. You get a sense of the time to hold it up to set the new speed, occasionally I'll over shoot and have to knock it back a couple. Least that's how mine works.

Where can I find a Shop manual?

Ditto having to use Acrobat (which I despise) because they get their slimy tendrils into everything. I tried use PDF24 but the index wouldn't work correctly, while with Acrobat, it does.

Engine Trouble - intermittently won't start! Any ideas on what to look for?

Just thought, EdMAt brought it to mind, kinda opposite to what his suggestion is in case it's not getting fuel. Give it a small shot of carb cleaner and see if it kicks. If it does you've pretty much confirmed it's the fuel system.

Engine Trouble - intermittently won't start! Any ideas on what to look for?

If I were the guessing type, I'd say intermittent fuel pump problem, pickup, lines sucking air etc.

What is this head sensor for - oil, coolant, head temp? Any ideas/help?

Thinking out loud so bear with me. I'm wondering if it's in the oil return from the head the thinking being it'll react faster to overtemp than the water temp sensor?

My 2012 Spyder RT turns over once then resets

You've got a bad battery or a bad connection, I'd vote for the battery. A fully charged battery with the surface charge drained off should be 12.8V minimum. Not to mention that one 1 second click of the starter should not drop the voltage.

When is the Price of gas going to stop rising?

For sure, and once they do and the infrastructure can't support them and it has to be increased in size and quantity the scumsuckers will cry they need to increase price to support them. Problem being the ones that don't have electric vehicles either because they can't afford them of just don't...

Am I ordering from the best OEM PARTS Sources?

Something like that I'd be tempted to try a hydraulic supply.

Questioning wearing Ear Plugs while riding

I actually use the foam plugs and like them. I know on my Voyager which had a lot higher windshield, I could hear the radio a lot better using earplugs. My Spyder since it has a lot lower windshield and no radio, they block the windnoise substantially. When I was still working I had the custom...

2012 RSS brakes locked up - can I just remove the top of the Master Cylinder to clean the Return Port?

Any chance the return spring (if there is one) is busted? Not familiar with the ABS system so possibly that? The actual piston of the brake valve is sticking in the bore? The latter seems like more of a chance if the fluids old and saturated with moisture. Other that the reservoir and the pedal...

When is the Price of gas going to stop rising?

Our gas is supposed to drop CAN$ 0.11 cents a liter tonite so that'll put it at CAN$ 1.67 a liter. Not as good as it was before all this crap started but hopefully it'll keep dropping.

Have you seen the Outrageous cost of Spyder accessories!?!

Remember, a bike is only the down payment for the accessories :-)

When is the Price of gas going to stop rising?

Ours actually dropped a bit last week. Funny how it never seems to drop as fast as it goes up. Excuse being, " Well we have to use up the crude oil that we bought at a higher price" but it doesn't apparently work the same way going up. Fuel price in Nova Scotia as of April-17-26: Gas CAN$ 1.78L...

Maybe needs a new battery?? - 2014 Spyder RT SE6

Either a bad battery or bad connection somewhere is my guess and not being able to do any actual tests, that all it is, a guess. I use the analogy of you can have 9-1.5V C cells in series and they'll read 13.5V on multimeter but they don't have the capacity i.e. amperage to turn over the bike. I...

Battery Drain and Failed 11 Month Old Yuasa Battery - anyone know what the installed current draw is?

I've always left my tender on all winter on any bike I've owned. Same as my generator, my ZT, and my diesel lawn tractor. Just replaced the battery in my tractor after 7 years I think it was, don't know how long the previous owner had it. My ZT, which uses a small lawn tractor battery, is on...
