• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Successful delivery

I trailered my Spyder out to Rochester, NY this past Saturday and delivered it to a newer Spyderlover who goes by purplepig. His first post here was a few weeks back looking for an SE5. He decided to buy my SM5 and I hope he has as many miles of fun on it as I had. Just like all three of our...

    Butcher family????

Brutcher family???? Can anyone in the Missouri forums help me contact someone in the Brutcher (I think that's their last name) family? (The 3 Spyder family). I bought Mr. Brutcher's old RT shocks off him while we were at Lamonster's BBQ and I am having an issue getting the old RT shocks, which...

    New rear tire

Got my new rear tire mounted today. I installed the Kumho Ecsta AST that we had bought last fall. Thanks to the tips from Lamonster, Firefly and others, I was able to take off the rear wheel myself and take the wheel and tire to the local Discount Tire and have them put the new tire on the...

    Parking brake removal

Has anyone here removed or modified their parking brake mechanism on the side of the tire? I never use the parking brake and my new HMF muffler hits on the mechanism when I ride over bumps. I have a spacer in the hanger that's mounted to the passenger peg but it still hits and I'm not sure I...

    HMF exhaust

Got my HMF exhaust yesterday and installed it today. I managed to get in a short ride before going to work and I like it. Now I'm stuck just looking at it in the garage until this late winter storms clears up, hopefully by Saturday. Thanks Brunswick for selling me the exact HMF I was hoping...

    HMF exhaust

How many are running the HMF exhaust, for how long and what is your opinion of it? I am contemplating getting one because the price is so good and I think I'm ready for another try of a louder exhaust than the stock exhaust. I read through a few posts when I searched on HMF exhaust and I see...

    Not again!?!?!?!?!?

dltang is finally going to be going without a back fender, not because of her desire for the look but because we have had the worst luck with those rear fender brackets on both of our Spyders. Here's what happened to hers this past week.... This was her second set of fender brackets and...

    Back to the Bricks

Too late now but I'm wondering if we should have set up a Spyder meet and greet during Back to the Bricks in Flint. I was just watching a live broadcast from downtown and the city is really hopping. Live music, lots of great cars. It would make for a nice day (or couple of days, it lasts for...

    Jailbreaking is now legal

The FCC ruled that jailbreaking smartphones is not against the law though phone companies will still void your warranty if you jailbreak a phone. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ytech_wguy/ytech_wguy_tc3236

Ever do something really (I mean REALLY) stupid?

I did today. I was going to burn some branches from a tree I cut today and the fire flashed up at me while starting it and I got 2nd degree burns from my wrist to my bicep on my right arm. Now I have to take some time off of work and in using the vacation time, I may not have enough vacation...

    Spyder is at home

I'm not sure if Deb has mentioned it but I picked up my Spyder yesterday morning. With a new motor, it's running great. Hopefully I'm set (no more major breakdowns) for at least two more years and another 25,000 miles. :f_spider:

    Spyder repair moving along

I just got the call from my dealer yesterday and my engine showed a little worse damage than dltang's had. Instead of trying to rebuild the thing, they are getting a new engine and putting it in. I should be up and running in about two weeks.

    New toy

A few years back, I thought I could get by without having a tractor around my property. I sold it and all the implements and used the money to buy a zero turn mower, a large 2 stage snow-thrower and pay some bills. After about 6 months, I knew I made a bad decision. So I've been wanting...

    APB on Tatt2r

Hey bro, where you hiding? I wanted to ask you what Dee used to cart that little dog around on the Spyder. It was some type of backpack, right? I am looking at getting a small dog and I am trying to put together my options for taking the dog with us on the Spyder.

    Scotty is alive and well.

We went up to our dealership today to test ride the new RT. I called Scotty yesterday and invited him up for it. We were there at 9am and he made it by 9:15. We all got a nice test ride on the RT and stopped for a hamburger afterwards. Debbie and Scotty Scotty, Debbie and the...
