• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can you show us how you installed the power cables for your heated gear?

Was going to go to the garage and take a picture of mine... but this is pretty close to what I have done, and I also use the port for my battery tender!

Anyone had any luck using a Non-OEM Trailer for a 2020 RT Limited?

I have had my Kozy Kamp cargo trailer through 2 Goldwings, a Royal Star Venture, my 2014 Spyder RT, and now my 2022 Spyder RTL. Never an issue. Pulls great behind the Spyder.

Buying a new helmet - who replaces them every 5 years per manufacturers spec??

I read a study that basically said that miles is a better indicator of helmet degradation. It said that 40,000-45,000 miles better coincides with replacement cycle. And yes, mine does follow that schedule and has been around 4 years for replacement cycle. This summer my Nolan modular stopped...

How many of your Spouse's ride their own machines?

My wife got her license after we got our first Spyder... and when the Rykers came out there was no doubt one of those was headed to our stable. She loves it! A few times a year she may be my pillion, but we ride often together on two bikes.

Having problems opening my '22 F3L Frunk - could it be the cable?

Do you have the frunk pretty full? On both the RTs I have had if I "overfilled" the frunk "a bit" I would have to push down on the frunk by the latch (just a little), when I turned the key, just so it relieves some of the tension against the latch.

Has anyone had their parking brake motor replaced? Finally resolved?

I had it changed on my 2014, back about 8 years ago. It was under the warranty at the time, but was told it would have been $600 (+) back then.

Should I get something showing I have bought the BRP Extended Warranty?

When I used the BEST warranty on my previous Spyder, I just told the dealership I had the the warranty and they looked it up/applied it for the work being done. I do not believe I have received any "card" for either my 2014 or my current 2022.

    Confessions on tour planning

A lot depends on what you want to see and if the ride is the purpose, or reaching a specific destination. Lodging is always a challenge, especially financially! Even "camping" has become more expensive and that has challenges as well with time and comfort. Maybe you can get some ideas from...

Has anybody installed the OEM adjustable wind deflectors on 2020+ RTL?

I installed both the upper and lower on my 2022 RT. I think I get more benefit from the upper set than the lower set. As Pooch mentioned, they do make a little difference. $100 is about half price for the two sets... BPR online list them as $129 per set. Uppers...

Are 2020+ Trailer Hitches longer than older models? If so, how much?

When I ordered my 2022 I asked Pierre at CanAmSpyderAccessories if I could transfer my hitch from my 2014 and he said no, the new ones are a bit longer. But I do not know how different.

2020 RTL Seat strut barely holds the seat open - ideas?

Mine did the same thing (I have since bought a Corbin seat). BUT before that I bought this size spring (see photo). You unhook one end of the seat piston, push the spring down over the piston and reconnect the piston... and the seat will stay up while fueling! I cannot take credit for this...

2022 Comfort Seat isn't! Any more comfortable suggestions?

I got a Corbin for my 2022 RT this spring. Had one on my 2014 (and on a Triumph). Been very pleased. They are "stiff" and break in over time. Good luck! Bob

What bike did you ride to get your motorcycle license ??

1982 Yamaha 400S in 1986. The morning of my test it was pouring a$$ rain and the Registry of Motor Vehicles was about 30 miles. I called and asked if they still did test in foul weather. They said yes, but I could reschedule, although it would cost me another $15. So I put on rain gear and...

2023 Ryker 900 - anyone done any long trips?

My wife has a 2019 900 Ryker and loves it. In 2021 her Christmas present was the Elka shocks and the comfort seat. She said, "wow what a difference." Last year's vacation was 300+ miles a day, without issue. I am not sure how comfortable she would have been with stock. (My on my RT and her...
