• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Passenger Heated seat not working, but Driver's seat works off Passenger controls on 2023 S2S - where would the plug be? Any help?

If it is not under the passenger seat, try looking in the channel that is under the front seat. it may have fallen down in there.

Using Garmin GPS with XM radio for Nav & headset audio - any reason to pair to the Spyder?

No reason to do it other than convenience. I pair my android and headsets to the bike so I can select media and control the phone music with the handy bike controls also volume/mute. I don't care for turn by turn so I have not paired my Zumo XT2. Lots of choices for you.

Winter Maintenance - Should I be concerned about Moisture in the Tailpipe?

Just cranking without starting it is even worse as the oil pump never gets to push oil where it needs to go and the next time you do it there is even less oil to lubricate parts. Just leave it alone it does not have a concept of time. Kind of like a photon traveling at the speed of light.

    What trailer hitch for a 2023 S2S?

The harness is isolated from the bike with relays (solid state) so it will accommodate any trailer loads your trailer presents. So it is just a matter of pinouts to match your trailer.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I finally sold Weeble's garage mate, my BMW K1200LT that I've owned since new in 2004. She sat in my garage for three years and now I can order a Russel Day Long saddle for the Spyder.

New software Update for Spyders Nov 30 '24 - anyone updated their '24 RT? What does it do?

Don't forget you have to "enable" the camera in the configuration. Easy way to tell if you have enabled it (without installing a camera) is the blue screen on the right half of the screen when you are in reverse.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I stand corrected on FOBO, I misinterpreted their statement about usage shortening battery life, i.e. running the app all the time. After reading the manual again I see I was wrong. But I did get almost a year of battery life before they started to show the low battery alert. So I can live...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Not true, they only "answer" when polled by your phone; if your phone is in range, and you are running the app it will keep talking to your phone.

Nice Bus bars, you are way neater than I am!

Have you mounted a remote bus bar away from the battery? Where did you put it?

Here, it is better to just show you. I need to learn to document these thing when I build them, at least this one is very easy to get to. I already had a 30 amp fused circuit running up through here, so it was easy to build a relay driven by switched power into the line. It even has room for...

Have you mounted a remote bus bar away from the battery? Where did you put it?

I made a switched power bus with a 30 amp relay and #12 wire with four Anderson 30 amp power pole connectors (everything I have uses the same connector). I mounted it behind the easiest pull out panel to remove, only requires you to lift the seat.

Does anyone have a Wiring Schematic for a 2023 RTL?

Looks to be a white 20 gauge that feeds the brake part of the tail/brake light assy in the top case. I got the manual from BRPMANUALS.COM

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Went out today to check to see if my 2024 RTL had survived the DST/STD time shift. It was off by an hour but I noticed the time zone was 5 instead of 6 and the date was correct, and of course, this was after it had connected to Wi-Fi. Then it was time to air up my tires due to the colder...

Does anyone have a Wiring Schematic for a 2023 RTL?

I do not know how the 2023 manual is but the 24 manual is great and has a separate section for the wiring diagrams. It also lists the wire colors and circuits as well as the pin number (which are NOT marked on the actual connectors). Here is a sample of the detail:

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I think he meant "move the drivers side away from the wall" as it would be in all left turns and all right turns would put the drivers side on the wall.
