• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

On my way home after work my brake light started flashing and brake fail came on the screen. Said low brake fluid. Check brake fluid and rear was low. Add fluid. Light went out. Check pads rear are thin. Both pads. I just turned 10,000 miles. Question how many miles are people here getting out of there pads front and rear on RT. None of my 2 wheel bikes wore out before 25k.

RT-S

I also have a 15 RT-S. I changed my front pads & rotors at 17k. Went ahead and did the rear at that time.

Pads

Normal. Depends on you. Lots of stop and go wears out pads. Lots of highway miles won't. Easy to replace. BajaRon sells them.

All 2013 and newer Spyders use the same brakes front and rear.

We have seen them gone at 8500 miles and have seen them last 50k.

It all depends on how much you use the right pedal.

SE trans tend to use the brakes a bit less due to auto down shifting where SM owners tend to pull the clutch in and use the brakes until stopped unless using engine braking in the twisties.
