• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010/2011 RT 622 diferrences

Jeriatric

Thinks out loud
If any.

Like are the wheels different, powder versus chrome? Or, are they pretty much the same all the way around?

Thanks ;)

BIGGEST DIFFERENCE

Between the 2011 and 2012 is mine it only weighs 65 lbs..........But then it's a " BLUEKNIGHT 911" special.. it's homebuilt....:gaah: :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:.....Mike..:thumbup:

We have a 2010 RTS and the RT-622 trailer..... in 2010 the trailer had an amber bulb for it's turn signal (just like the RTS does), but I think in 2011 they eliminated the amber bulb from the trailer and flash the red LEDs as the turn signal.

Other than that, I think that's all that's changed from 2010 to 2011 (besides paint colors).... as for what's new in 2012, can't help you there, but I'm sure others will know.

All the best,

Bill

Where I grew up they called that "Smart Money".

Saying that - is kinda like pointing a finger at myself. Hope it's not loaded :banghead:

Thanks gadget...... Now if only I can find one. Had a new Black 2011 lined up for just under 2700 hesitated and missed it. My bad. If you or anyone who reads this runs across a deal like I let slide I'd appreciate a heads up. Has to be another one in So Cal., Az, or Nevada.

Thanks again!

As was said, the main difference was the turn signals. 2010 was 5-wire (actually 6-wire) with separate turn signals and brake lights. 2011 is 4-wire, with combined turn signals/brakelights. 2011 also comes with the water management kit, which is available for retrofit to the 2011. The wheels may be powdercoat or smoked chrome, depending on the trailer color.

All good to know. Thanks. Had a black 2010 lined up....hesitated for less than 20 minutes and missed it. :bbq:

Just another notr on the difference. The 2010 trailer was wired as 6-wire, so the brakelights are separate. That means that the 2010 trailer will work with the 2011 and later Spyder hitch wiring harness the same as a 2011 trailer, with no modification. All the Spyder modules you can but]y now are 4-wire, no matter what year Spyder you connect them to. The older trailer isn't picky...it works with either version of the module.
