• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 Spyder RT - anyone know what vacuum hose goes?

Admittedly, the linked thread and the vid in it are about an ST, but once the panels are off, the RT's are essentially the same - I found this simply by typing 'Vacuum hoses' into the Search field (top right of the page); ticking the 'Search titles only' box; and submitting the Search, there's a heap more there if this one doesn't answer everything - check it out:

Good Luck! (y)

The Spyder he is showing in the video is not an RT so some things will be different. The first thing I noticed is the screws in the cover. He shows removing the chrome screws in the lower part of the cover. The RT has similar looking screws, but do not try to remove them, they are push in studs on the RT. IIRC, the hose ID is 3mm and you want silicone hose not rubber. Also, be sure to cut them the same length as the factory hoses. I chose to do them one side at a time. Good luck and have fun.

I did not find the hose. It looks like it there is no connection to it, and it is an RT that looks the same as in your picture. I'm still trying to figure out the codes that I have had - Codes P0552, P0551, C1183, C0044, C006C, and P0504. I cleaned all the grounds, replaced the battery, bled the brakes until the fluid was clean, checked the brake light switches, filled the reservoirs, and replaced the DPS. Two of the codes are gone; P0552 and P0551. When I start it up, the traction control light comes on. I'm going to check the rear ABS sensor too. If anyone has had this problem, let me know. Thanks, John.

John. Love to help you with that hose. It's certainly not a MAP sensor hose, but the picture isn't good enough to be able go any further than that. Unless it's just some spare hose that got laid in there, it's most likely something important. See if you can get better images.

Because you replaced the DPS, then that's why P0551 and P0552 cleared. Failed Torque Sensor in the DPS.

C1183 is telling you that the Pillion Rider Switch - that round switch that sits under the passenger seat, is shorted to ground. Check your wiring and switch.

Now, the rest of this gets a bit more expensive. C0044 and P0504 are telling you that there is a brake pressure plausibility error between the brake light switch and the VCM. There's a brake line pressure sensor inside the VCM. That's the unit down front that looks like an ABS unit. The VCM is an ABS with a brain. If the brake light switch tells the system that the brakes are on, the system looks at brake line pressure. If that pressure sensor sees brake line pressure, it looks to see if the brake light switch is on. That's the correlation check. If there's a brake light switch on without pressure, or pressure without a brake light switch on, then you get those codes. There's a bit of history that the pressure sensor inside the VCM fails. Typically, it fails high, which would fit all this. So would a failed brake light switch.

On top of that you have C006C, which is a CANBUS communications error with the VCM. My concern is that you need a new VCM, as something has failed internally. Best way to check that is to hook up to BUDS and try to run the VCM, and see if it runs. Also, check that pressure sensor with BUDS. Any of this will cause that warning light to be on. But first, of course, you want to check all of your fuses, including the fuses under the seat; the wiring, and the battery. The vacuum hose may be the least of your problems. Good Luck.
