• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2012 Can-Am Spyder Roadster info and pics !

Wake me up next year if they accually do something worth while mentioning besides paint.

I do like the green though, but the brown looks like poop. Did you get my analogy ??? :roflblack:
I think it shows great foresight on the part of BRP. What with the predicted end of the world on Dec.21,2012 there would be no sense doing a great deal of retooling! Then if the world does not end, in 2013, 13 is an unlucky number, so don't redesign anything in 2013. Looks like we may have to wait 'til 2014.:roflblack:

Should fit the HMT LED RT Rear brake light - Most agree the rear trunk
looks better with it and its extra Safety feature being higher up

Extra Fuse panel - So many are adding extra LED'S, GPS, Power Sockets etc

The good thing is at least with less drastic changes our current models should hold there value - Most will not change out yet as there is very
little to gain by trading in a current Spyder RT
If its just cosmetic or Suspension changes most will upgrade parts or go for
aftermarket suppliers

A plus point is that aftermarket suppliers will fill in where BRP has not made/fitted any items as standard - This does give us a larger choice of
Spyder accessories

P.S - You have more choice in the USA than us in the UK at present
I have ordered from USA Suppliers but with import duties its expensive
but the quality so far has been excellent

I think the green is really cool had a Harley CVO earlier this year in what they called Kryptonite Green. Most of all thanks to Ron and Lamont for bringing us up to speed

Damn, well I'm still holding out for the gloss black and orange, they're still leaving the flat black on the RS-S

Chrome wheels

They do offer chrome wheels for the front of the RT but they are not offering them for the rear at this time because they were not happy with the testing they did on the strength of the rim and hub after chroming. They are working on that.QUOTE]

What would you have to do to fit the RT front chrome wheels on an RS/GS?

You know the new colors are great the upgraded suspension on the RS is a good step but what about some of the other things that should have been fixed right out of the factory like the heat on the right-side blowing on the leg. Yes their are great fixes out there and by all means i'am not dissing them at all but this is a situation where they should fix it at the factory before some unhappy buyer files a claim against them. :chat:

Joe likes red RSS Kathy likes lava RTS

WHAT!!!!! NO SSA?
Well, I guess it stood for SAME SH## AGAIN.
Sorry, the off color seat doesnt do it for me.

maybe?

Liking the new colors, now I wish I would have waited until next year... Guess I will just have to buy me another one and let the wife inherit this one... LOL, she just told me I could buy a second one... She went and got her M endorsement so she could drive it after riding as a passenger 2 times. She loves it and finds every excuse to ride it when I am not. So we will be a two Spyder family next year! LOOKING FORWARD TO IT! :spyder2:

she'll let you keep yours and she will buy the new one!!!!!!!!!

Cell Phone Interface ?

Here's a link to Fred Rau talking about the new 2012 RT and and mentioning a "cell phone interface" on the new RT.
