• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2012 RTS audio settings keep resetting?

I have a odd problem going on with my 2012 RTS. Twice in the past couple months, the speed sensitive volume control has turned to off by itself, and I have also noticed that my bass, treble, and fader settings have went back to default as well. All of my radio station presets are fine, as is the time settings. Any idea what could cause this?

If you start the ignition process, and stop before actually hitting the starter; this does happen...
I've been caught by it a couple of times, and I now make a conscious effort to avoid the problem sequence.

When you turn the key off and back on again for some reason. For example when you forget to set the parking brake. Some of your setting, mostly related to the audio are reset to default. Settings that are affected that i have seen are radio display main screen, auto volume settings, bass and treble. These are settings stored in the gauge cluster. Radio presets stored in the radio are not affected.

The following video demonstrates the radio on main display setting going to default, (off).

Wow, here I am thinking it is some rare/odd problem! If I understand correctly, this will happen if I turn the key off before everything boots up?

Yup!
As long as you finish what you start; the settings won't be affected.

And Billy,
Your reference to the "Parking Brake Two-Step", is spot on!
That's what has caught me in the past!
