2013 RT Limited SE5 clunk noise when shifting

Hello,

New to the whole Spyder scene and hoping this forum will be some help. I have a clunking noise when I shift. I've read this about older models but nothing in the 2013. This happen almost all the time and also shifting into reverse. Also having problem with the cruise but have a new switch ordered. The bike is only 1 month old, couldn't resist the rebates on the 2013 anymore. Planning on taking a day trip this weekend and wondering if I should wait till I can get this looked at. Thanks for any and all help.

Here's the thing..!!

clunking going into first and reverse is normal especially in big twins. You are engaging an idle transmission to a running egine at high rpm's. After that both the engine and the transmission are moving so you should not have the clunking in 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th...:thumbup:
