There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Great question.
I'm new to the forum and absorbing lots of info from a lot of prior posts and knowledgeable senior members.
My target is the 2014 RT-S or RT-L but I decided to wait for additional information on the 2015 models that will be announced 9/23/14
Since I'm technically an outcast, I would also like to know if there are any recalls on 2014 models too.

There have been no recalls for the 2014 RTs. Recalls are issued by the NHTSA not by BRP. Service bulletins, warranty campaigns, technical service bulletins, etc are what you are looking for. You should definitely ask the dealer - there have been some dealers that have sold Spyders without completing the campaigns and recalls.

I guess I'm mistaken, but I thought there was a list of technical bulletins located on this site, but I can't find it now.
It's a good idea to constantly check, since many of the technical bulletins come out after you take delivery of your Spyder.

Almost makes you wonder if in the sales agreement a clause is written in that all current TSB's a complied with.
Especially if you are buying an earlier machine.
Kind of a bit of piece of mind if something does go wrong, and would place liability back onto the dealer for non compliance with proper delivery.
