• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The (3) 2014 RT's were delivered to MA yesterday and will be on display at the Northeast Motorcycle expo in Boston this weekend.

Demo/Display Only?

Sounds kind of good that some 2014s are showing up in the Northern States but it sounds like these 3 are for display purposes only. I'm also kind of surprised that only two people on Spyderlovers have theirs yet. It would seem that others in the Southern tier of states would've gotten theirs by now. Am I the only one that finds this to be a little bit peculiar?

I heard from my dealer yesterday afternoon...
BRP is "cleaning up" things, and deliveries of the new bikes is starting!:ohyea::yes:
I'm taking a run up to my dealer this Saturday, to try and get some more information out of them!

CA

My Dealer has a 2014RT LTD in the service area waiting for a BRP person to pick it up and show it around the dealers in the area. Then one of the Local Sacramento Area Spyder Celebrities will have it for a 3 week test drive.

Interesting..!!

having been told they will be delivering according to sales as well as color does seem strange they are doing it so slowly and in this strange fashion..hope they get things going for we all know folks are a waiting....:popcorn:

I strongly suspect

most multi-line dealers will tell you BRP does not typically do as other manufacturers not with consistent logic. This is not just for the Spyders.

I posted a new thread for people to sign up in when they pick up their new 2014 RT's. Hope they will use it so we can keep track. You are right on the two only. Today a couple mentioned their :ani29:'s are in--but we are still waiting for the pick ups, pictures, and reviews. :bbq::bbq:I know this is tough on some of us.

Where is that thread?

So to the question about is one of the three mine? We'll see what color the third unit is, I'm looking for a white Limited. The first two built were black, then copper (I know that's not what the official name for that color) and ?? I'm riding a GL1800 Gold Wing now, looking to have some fun riding something else. I've been lurking on this board for a while reading all the great posts everyone has been posting. We've take a 2010 and a 2013 for a good test ride but just didn't feel it had the power or torque curve I'm used to with the Wing. We do a lot of two up touring pulling our trailer so torque and HP is important.

And thank-you for the welcome to the board ;)

The new 1330 will certainly be a step in the right direction for you...
Will it provide the same torque as the 'Wing?? probably not; you'll have to test one, and let us know what you think!

They are in California as well, in fact, in my garage.
