• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have been looking for it. I can't find it. Web site says the RTS gets one. DO the 2014 RTS's get a frunk light standard like the web site says? :hun: Tom :trike:

Tom

Put your Spyder in a dark shop or garage and open the frunk and turn on the key, that little bitty speck of light in the frunk is your "frunk light" it is there i promise you.

Left side of the Frunk; about 80% of the way up toward the snout of the bike...
there's a recess that you can feel; it sits in there!

Don't worry, I've had my 2011 for 3 years and only last week I saw my light for the first time! My RT's frunk came with a liner which has been covering the frunk's bulb, although on investigation I've discovered a flap in it allowing it to be uncovered. The flap was never folded out of the way. In the pitch black of my garage at night I saw the smallest chink of blue/white light and knew immediately that the 2011 spec was true after all, the frunk DOES have a light! Not bright enough for the owner to need shades but a useful accessory nevertheless.

You folks need to move here. We don't get dark during rydeing season. Don't need no steenkin frunk light. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

My original RTS was supposed to come with one--but have never found it. :roflblack:

This is actually one of my two small complaints about these bikes:
The frunklight needs to be a whole lot brighter.
And the turnsignal indicator lights need the same treatment; PLUS a relocation to the mirror housings.

It is there.

You should be able to see the location in the photo. It was DARK when I took the photo with out flash.

As was said, little bitty spec of a light on the left side near the front. The engine must be running for it to function.

 I had always assumed that they just left it on when the bike running; all of the time.
Wait... How do you know that it turns off? Did somebody climb down into the frunk, and report on this?? :roflblack:

EDIT: Seriously... If that's hot all of the time now; you'd best be careful about leaving the frunk unlatched, and running down your battery!

It's key on power, not on the load shedding relay.
