• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2014 RTS Rear Brake Problem

I am having trouble compressing the rear brake cylinder piston on my 2014 RTS. I have disconnected the parking brake cable from the unit. When I try and compress the brake cylinder piston back into the body of the brake caliper assembly there is a lot of resistance and it does not want to compress. Am I missing something here?:banghead::banghead:

Yep, I believe you are missing something!!

The rear brake piston SCREWS back in to the caliper!! You need to look at the face of the piston, there are 2 holes in that. Using either a brake tool designed for this task or maybe something like some long nosed pliers, insert the tips into those holes & wind it back in....

It is that easy, IF you try screwing it in rather than pushing!! Hope that gets the job done for you.

Its easy, just take a pair of needle nose pliers insert into the 2 small holes in the cylinder and turn clock wise.
The cylinder will go right in.

Thank You!!

Ok, so that is what I am missing. I will turn that little guy and be back in business. Thank you, thank you!!!!!!
