2021 RT LTD Glove Box will no longer latch - any ideas?

Glove box will no longer latch while ryding.
It will lock when turning handle bars to lock if I hold down the glove box lid?

I can't find anything in the service manual about adjusting the latch, but there appears to be an adjustment on the cable that pulls the latch to the locked position when the handlebars are turned. Wish I could be of more help. Here's the drawing I'm referring to:

With all the problems that the saddle bag cables on the newer models are having, I would check that cable to make sure that it is not sticking. Maybe try some dry lube on the latch itself. Make sure that if you do that it's safe for plastic.
