• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2025 F3 Special Series - is there any reason that wiring the heated seat to the unused heated passenger handgrips wiring might not work?

Bringing this back up since it's starting to get cooler again. I've got a 2025 F3 Special Series, and as we know, it does not have the accessory connection like the models before 2024. When I first bought my 2025 F3, I got an Ultimate seat made for it. I also got the heated model for the front and back seat (Wife wanted it, but so did I) I worked with the guy at Ultimate Seats to try and figure out how to wire the heated portion up but we were not able to find a good way to so, he refunded me for that part of the seat which was very nice of him to do that. I'm wanting to get the heated seat working due to the cooler days coming. I was thinking that since I took the passenger heated grips off to install the the arm rest for the wife, that maybe I could somehow use those, since the plugs are not plugged into anything now. Is there any reason why this might not work? I do not want to butchering the wiring nor do I want to put it in limp mode. Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

A question would be does the system have enough wattage available to actually heat the seat. That stated, both hand holds were heated so maybe there enough wattage. Measure resistance of one hand hold, then multiply by 2 to get total wattage of the OEM load. Here's a link to a wattage calculator that may help: https://calculator.academy/heater-resistance-calculator/. The wire schematics in the shop manuals do not include load information.

The other challange would be temperature control for the seat.

You may be able to find plug and play connectors on Amazon so you don't have to cut into the OEM wire harness.

Otherwise it's just DC electricity.

Thanks, my thoughts also. The seat heaters are like the handles I took off. On or off. On the Ultimate seat, there is a button for the driver and a button for the passenger seat for heat. Maybe one of the plugs can go to the front seat and another to the back seat?
