I spoke at some length with Michele at First Gold Gaming today and learned a few things that may be of interest to future D3WR attendees. First, she explained that FGG goes in the hole every year putting on the event, largely because it must rent both the physical facility and the tents from the city. They would have liked to do 2026 D3WR in June but the facilities were all booked, e.g., rodeos, etc. Secondly, she said she's told the powers that be that she must have more tents and a much better audio system for next year. Current plans are to have everything under tents for the event. Last, she apologized sincerely for my and any others' reported displeasure with the quality of the food. Weather-wise she reported that they knew it could be frying pan temperatures as it was well into the 90s in April this year. All in all, it was good chat, and Michele, like every other person connected with the rally, was very personable and rally attendee oriented.
