There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. A quick demo of Big Blue Motorcycle Lift with RT Mount

Hmmm, I have a manual lift like the one you showed next to Big Blue, and if space is an issue, why not just pop the handle off and turn it 90°, against the wall and it would take up less space than Big Blue? I could also buy two manual lifts for the price of a drill powerful enough to run the Big Blue. I think I'll stick with the $80 one I have, but interesting lift indeed, just not practical for me. To each his own, but I'm not sold on it

I am also interested, I tried to look it up, but couldn't find it on the net. The web site on the side of the lift is not for lifts.

Big blue

Got one last week. Can't wait to play with it! I'll let you know if you can lift from the other side.

F3t lift

Thats a good question, the website just calls it a Can-Am Mount. They don't specify any models other than showing an RT in their picture.

Did you purchase one of these big blue lifts and if so have you used it on your F3?
We just purchased a good used one here in the Dallas area. When I called the Big Blue rep to order the Spyder adapter plate, he says their Can Am adapter only works on the RT model. At least I will be able to use it on Kathys RT but was hoping it would work on my F3T also. Thanks ride safe.

The mount only fits an RT.
I think it has to do with the shock placement on a F3 that they can't make an adapter that will work for a F3....

In your video you mention the rear mounting “U” bolts fitted to the rear shock. Is this done when the Spyder is raised by you or part of the accessory bracket?

Earlier in this thread, Joe Meyer ordered a Big Blue for his Spyder service business, I think that was in 2017 (post #12). Anyway, some 3 years ago, I bought it, thinking at the time I needed to do the extensive 28k maintenance on the bike, which among other things suggested replacing the spark plugs, which is a real bear on this machine. Not long after I bought it, I had my accident and life got in the way and I'm only just now getting around to firing the bike up and using it extensively for touring again. However, it does need the 28k service done, the rear tire replaced, etc., so I'm going to have Joe do it (he's in Las Vegas and I'm near Salt Lake City, UT, so about 450 miles away).

So, I never did use the Big Blue apart from setting it up and lifting the bike once, just to try it out. I'll get around to listing it on the For Sale thread soon, as well as Craig's List probably, but in the meantime, I just thought I'd bring this old discussion full circle. In the first post of this thread, there's a YouTube video of someone (Purple Guy?) demonstrating the lift with a Cognac 2014 RT. It's a pretty good demo of the lift's capabilities.

I will say that in my short experience with it, it's a bit of a hassle getting the lift under the bike, positioned correctly, and bolted down at the rear. Mostly, this is because the bike has so very little clearance underneath it. I found I needed to use a jack under the tow hitch to gingerly lift the bike enough to slide the lift under it. There may be better ways to do it, but that's what I came up with using what I have at hand.
