• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Almost had a bad day

On the way to work in the dark this morning I was following a pickup, probably to close, when I saw a small black/white carcass as the truck straddled it. I was too close to dodge it and my first thought was what if I break the scent bag with a front tire. I was lucky and managed to miss it with all three tires. Don't think coworkers would like me showing up smelling like skunk.

You were definitely lucky.

When I was a teen back on the farm in south Georgia I managed to get sprayed by one of those critters while plowing cotton. Scrubbed my self raw with tomato juice to get the scent off. Couldn't go to school smelling like that... all the girls would have gone the other way. Buried my cloths in the corn field. Plowed them up 10 days later and they still smelled like a skunk. /Ken

Went pheasant hunting a while back with my German short hair. The best hunter i ever had. But dumber than dirt. He finds a sunk points it, then he decides to retrieve it. Before i could get him to drop it he brings it back to me. Needless to say we both slept out side that night.

I am glad you were lucky enough to avoid it. I hit one with my car once, and would never want to experience that on the Spyder.

Don't blame the pooch .... its a black and white duck.:roflblack:

What do you mean you avoid that?

You should of ran over it, they would of sent you home for the day :2thumbs:

Are you sure you missed it? I still can smell you :yikes::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Wow, I've tried to miss objects in the road, straddle it with the front tires only to realize that the SINGLE REAR TIRE IS IN THE MIDDLE! Definitely something to get used to..... I'm sure I would have hit that skunk with all 3 tires!:yikes: Like picking up a 7 - 10 split!

I practice all the time using whatever I can find: small utility covers, potholes, etc. The key is to drive over them with the object just inside the front wheel.

I do the same thing. I usually aim with my knee and try to take it right under one of my knees. If Im unsure it will clear, I try to err on the side of hitting the rear tire, less issues if somethin happens back there.
