Analog gauge blanks.

Were does one find the blanks to put in place of the analog gauges once removed? I'm thinking of putting ram mounts on them and was wondering if they would be sturdy enough to mount a large drink holder to?

look no farther than your dealer (or the BRP online store). P/N 705003421 - MSRP $7.49 USD. Don't know if they are sturdy enough to hold a RAM mount for anything substantial, though.

The blanks just snap in place with three tabs holding them in. Without some added items on the backside of the dash panel you cannot mount anything to them.
That being said I have my Garmin Zumo mounted to one side and the other holds my cupholder.
I did some creative reinforcing on the back side to hold the blanks in place.

I picked one up just today from my dealer for about 7$ definitely NOT strong enough to hold a cup holder. it just snaps in place and the snaps are quite weak and bent easily when i tried to install it, making them useless. I ended up gluing it in place. I did mount a 12v power jack in mine, but that takes little pressure.

are there better gauges to use instead? why remove them. maybe I'm slow but some indication of how hot my rad is and how much gas is useful.

When you disconnect the analog gauges, the readings for temp and gas will revert to the digital readout.

So, for the digital gauges to work all one needs to do is disconnect the analog gauges? Is it that simple?

Yup pretty sure though you must disconnect both of them in order to make them appear on the electronic cluster.

yes. once you disconnect both of them the digital ones come up in the center screen. Takes all of 10 minutes to do. There is a How to in the how to area.

Bolt the clock or thermo to gauge blank and pop it in. I used a dab of silicone to make the plug tighter. Looks like it was always ther and can be removed to battery in clock.
