• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone tried using the 10.25" touchscreen to show TPMS from FOBO2?

Has anyone out there attempted to utilize the 10.25 touchscreen to display TPMS values from the FOBO 2? I’m looking for a TPMS, but I don’t want to use my phone for the app to monitor when I already have a perfectly good big screen…

My first thought was "No", but then my brain kicked in and I realized I have no idea.

So... contact FOBO and ask them.

You should also ask Can Am if the Spyder can run a phone app.
This triggered something in my brain, and I visited my friend, Google.

I found a discussion thread on the Fobo website, asking about Apple Carplay and the FOBO app.

The thread started over 3 years ago with a customer asking about a FOBO app for Carplay.
The response from FOBO was that they were contacting Apple.

And there have been a few comments from other customers but none in the last two years, and no other response from FOBO.

And then my brain went down a rabbit hole, and I went to my iPhone and checked the iPhone App Store, and there are several FOBO apps for TPMS monitoring. And I found at least one that runs on iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. But none are for Apple Carplay.

And then I found a different rabbit hole, or maybe it's a worm hole.
In my iPhone Settings app there are configuration options for Carplay. I use Carplay on my Spyder and also on my Honda Ridgeline.
When I selected the Spyder configuration (which is actually named "BRP") there is a "Customize" option. Choosing that option gives me a list of some of the Apps on my iPhone, and the option to add them to Carplay.

So I downloaded the FOBO Tire 2 app which is described as a wireless TPMS using Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity for sensors.

I launched the FOBO TIre 2 app on my iPhone to see how it worked, but it wanted me to create an account, which I did not do.
When I went into the iPhone Carplay Settings for my Spyder, under the Customize option it now shows the FOBO Tire 2 app, although I am not sure it would allow me to actually add it to my Spyder's Carplay display because I don't have a FOBO account or any FOBO TPMS sensors.

So hopefully FOBO will respond with some positive news!

Yes that’s works fine… it's showed in apps with CarPlay, even Scenic and many other apps…

The only thing is that they show if Apple wants them to… you can’t choose them!

I agree that Apple does control what shows up, but they do so by publishing information for app developers about what is required in order for their app to show up. It's still the responsibility of the app developer to ensure that their app meets the requirements set by Apple.

Cool, so what about android BT with FOBO?
According to the FOBO 2 website, it uses Bluetooth 5.0 and works with Android 8.0 and later.

You won't get it on the Spyder's display, though, since the display only does Apple Carplay.
