You should also ask Can Am if the Spyder can run a phone app.
This triggered something in my brain, and I visited my friend, Google.
I found a discussion thread on the Fobo website, asking about Apple Carplay and the FOBO app.
The thread started over 3 years ago with a customer asking about a FOBO app for Carplay.
The response from FOBO was that they were contacting Apple.
And there have been a few comments from other customers but none in the last two years, and no other response from FOBO.
And then my brain went down a rabbit hole, and I went to my iPhone and checked the iPhone App Store, and there are several FOBO apps for TPMS monitoring. And I found at least one that runs on iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. But none are for Apple Carplay.
And then I found a different rabbit hole, or maybe it's a worm hole.
In my iPhone Settings app there are configuration options for Carplay. I use Carplay on my Spyder and also on my Honda Ridgeline.
When I selected the Spyder configuration (which is actually named "BRP") there is a "Customize" option. Choosing that option gives me a list of some of the Apps on my iPhone, and the option to add them to Carplay.
So I downloaded the FOBO Tire 2 app which is described as a wireless TPMS using Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity for sensors.
I launched the FOBO TIre 2 app on my iPhone to see how it worked, but it wanted me to create an account, which I did not do.
When I went into the iPhone Carplay Settings for my Spyder, under the Customize option it now shows the FOBO Tire 2 app, although I am not sure it would allow me to actually add it to my Spyder's Carplay display because I don't have a FOBO account or any FOBO TPMS sensors.
So hopefully FOBO will respond with some positive news!
