• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

.I have a 2009 rs. Brake failure cam up on dash. Checked the fluid, changed the back brake, bleed front and rear and cvs. Still have code showing. What next. I did what you said, Grandpot. Still have brake failure on.

I had a Brake Failure show up with the orange screen, but no actual Code number displayed. I was able to drive and stop with no problem. If this is what happened to you, the following may help.

1. Actually there are three switches in the brake system. The first is a operated by the brake pedal and is used to turn on the brake lights. The second is a hydraulic operated switch that senses the brake pedal has been pressed hard enough to actuate the brakes. The third is another regular switch that senses the brake pedal has been pressed too far, indicating the brakes may not be working.

2. The first and third switches are the ones you are interested in at this time.

3. Turn the key off for at least 30 secs.

4. Turn the key on and immediately (do not wait for Nanny to boot up) press on the brake pedal hard enough to actuate the first and third switches. You will be able to hear both switches. You will really need to press hard to actuate the third switch.

5. Turn the key off and back on. The Brake Failure warning should be cleared.

I have a 2009 phantom and the brake failure light came on 14k ago. still stopps good

a friend of mine has a 08 gs did a brake pad job this week when he pulled out of the driveway the brake failure code came on

99% of the brake failure warnings are a matter of low brake fluid. The fluid level looks fine, but it's actually a tablespoon or so low. Put some in after you clean the cap and surrounding area.

thanks
I'm gonna try that tomorrow
