• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Battery terminal extenders

Has anyone added some sort of battery terminal extender to their battery to make it safer to add additional connections?

Right now I have the normal connection and a connection for charger pigtails. I'm planning to add an additional fusebox for accessories but don't want to have more wires on the stock terminals.

EXTENDERS

I swapped OEM battery bolts for slightly longer ones so I could add terminal rings ..... one of them a sub-fuse box so this where most of my new connections end up ......... Mike

Careful....

:agree: but be careful they are not to long or they will bottom out and not make a snug fit. Fear not the nanny will let you know if this happens...:roflblack:

Hi Mike,

Re: I swapped OEM battery bolts for slightly longer ones so I could add terminal rings .....

I'm about to do something similar. About how much longer did you go?

I believe that one of the best product that I have seen for this is from TricLed.
https://www.tricledusa.com/automatic

Go to their site and I click on products/Spyder RT, then scroll down a little and you will find the Fuze Block FZ-1. Make one connection and the rest of the work will be done for you.

Sorry but I don't remember the stock size :banghead: ..... however looking at my ruler + 3/4mm is all you need .... you don't want to put to many terminals on the bolt ........ Mike

FUSE BLOCK

When you consider what a fuse block NEEDS to do ..... for $ 6-8 you can get one from Banggood.com ....works as designed ......I have one ... Mike
