• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Customer Service Update

Made a call to Carlos this morning and left voice mail, regarding my question about the GPS CB/Intercom interface problem.

Carlo just returned my call (7:30 pm), and was very helpful. He had checked on the problem and told me that while it's being looked at, there is no immediate fix in sight.

He also explained that BRP is very serious about supporting their customers and appreciate our positive feedback on what we like, and what can be improved. They read the forums, and the email we send, and pay attention to what we're saying.

Having owned Harley's, Honda Goldwings, and a Victory Vision this is the first time a corporate representative has taken the time to respond to my requests. BRP is experiencing growing pains with the RT and they need our help. For a first year bike, they've hit a home-run, and it will only improve.

Thanks Carlo...

Hope you get your ryde back soon.
I had the pleasure of visiting with Carlo at the Candlewood in Libertyville. A great person that truly cares about us Spyder owners.

Really Can't figure it out

In an earlier post I stated that my GPS audio works perfectly thru which ever audio outlet I choose; speakers or headset. Intercom works great, iPod, CB and am/fm as well. Did I just get lucky or what?? With the exception of the AM/FM radio, I installed all the above myself.

As for Carlo's resopnse, as in my post today in the "Customer Service" thread, I stand by my statement.. For me personally, BRP & Dealer support have been very good....

I spent nearly 40 years in a service orinted industry, (Commercial Airlines), on the front line... There are all kinds of problems that can manifest themselves when you load a couple hundred or more people into an aluminum tube and lock the door..If you have a problem, don't get the crazies on me. We can work it out if you are willing to work with me calmly. I have had more than a few passengers removed from my airplane because they get the crazies.. No matter what one's perception of the problem is... stay away from the crazies..

Carlo called me about my particular Spyder problem unsolicited. He saw postings of my problem on THIS forum and called me..TWICE... I'm very glad we have Carlo... And a caring dealer... I am especially happy to have my Spyder back.... Len

You know...it's a nice refreshing breath of fresh air to see some positive posts on this forum for a change. I truly empathize with those that hae been having problems...seriously. nojoke It just seems lately there was a lot of negativity and it was becoming a real downer.

I'm just saying....
