• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Called BRP about disparity of the break in mileage recommendations

C'mon Joe; you're falling behind! :D
You're only about 10,000 miles behind Ann.
If you ride it at 100 miles per hour average; you can catch her in just over 4 days...

(MY mileage: don't ask! :opps:)
I don't think any of us will catch Ann

Do you mean "break-in" or interval to the first oil change? My '14 RTS went to 3000 miles before it's first service. But for the first few hundred miles I tried to take it easy on the speed, etc.

I come from a different school of "break in". During the early miles I ride a bike like I plan to ride it later - which means hard and fast....So far it has worked for me through 3 Spyders and over 100,000 miles with virtually trouble free riding (except for lousy OEM tires)

AT 9300 miles, or 9300 later at 12,300? I have seen 2 different quotes on this recently??

BRPcare said at 9300 miles later (12,300) for the second oil change--then at 9300 mile intervals or once a year whichever comes sooner. But I am not going to push the issue.

If you change the oil a bit earlier, you are not going to hurt anything.

If it makes you feel better; you can always change your oil, when you see the tire tread starting to look a bit suspicious! :D

it's the same old problem..what year and model do you have. Because the 2014 RT's got the new engine some are thinking all 14's got the new engine. So remember the ST, RS and RSS still have the same engine as before. This is why we stress posting year and model...

check my 2nd post... it does state year & model... :)

It is possible that it was missed...
Honestly; I have REAL trouble with your posts, only because of my irrational Arachnophobia... :yikes:
