• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CB and music on Zuma 660

i normally listen to the radio or the my ipod while riding but since I'm having some problem with the ipod music breaking up as I ride I thought I would try listening to music on the GPS.

The problem comes in when I'm listening to the music (GPS) I can not hear anyone on the CB. They can hear me.

Anyone out there know how to current this problem with the GPS and why my Ipod would break up the music?

I don't think there is a fix for your issue. The system is operating normally.

The GPS has the highest priority in the system. As long as sound is coming through the GPS, it takes priority and cuts out all other signals, including the intercom system.

It's not generally a problem if you get the occasional driving instruction tossed to you, but when listening to music, that's all you will hear.

As to the IPOD music breaking up, if you have your intercom VOX set too sensitive, then ambient wind noise will trigger the intercom and break up the music. Try decreasing the sensitivity of the VOX, or if you are riding alone, turn it off altogether.

Thanks Threewheels, this makes sense about the GPS and sometime or the other VOX got turned on so will see what happens with the Ipod now that VOX is off.

If you run the GPS output through the Aux input, it should give the CB priority. That is how I do it on my 2010 RT. I added the BRP CB & my Zumo 550 GPS. Works great!
