Cool garage door opener that works with spyder high beam flasher

Here is a cool item that I just found out about....and they are a local company to me.

It uses your high beam to open your garage door and they do have a kit for the spyder

That is really cool. Right now I carry my garage opener in my sleeve pocket and I punch my arm until it opens!:yikes: LOL. Gloves make so many things difficult. I really need one of those.

I hooked my garage door opener to my high beam switch on my other bike.....I soldered the switch inside the garage door opener. used the battery leads to splice into the wires of the high beam.....so when the high beam is hit the garage door opener is turned on........works great..been in my bike for at least four years.......dont have to change a battery!

I saw on their website where you can buy the receiver and download an app to your smartphone (only available for Android, said coming soon for iOS) to open/close the remote with you phone. I'd go that direction once the iOS version is available!:yes:

The Spyder kit would be new. Heard there were issues getting the standard motorcycle version to work correctly.

My wife has the Flash-2-Pass n her RT and it works fine and has a great range of about 100 to 200 feet from the garage....Just as she turns onto our street she toggles her high beams and wah lah the garage door starts opening!! Best thing since sliced bread!

WOW I havent heard that word in a LONG time . I used to have a momentary switch on my garage door opener on my R6. I have yet to do the same with the spyder since well I dont really have a garage anymore ;(

This does not sound like a home/garage security device????.....or am I missing something......sooooooooooo anyone who flashes lights at you're garage will be able to open the door......Please don't leave any pets or children in there.....mike......:thumbup:

It's basically a garage door opener remote wired into the "flash" button on your bright lights. Flashing your brights on your bike twice triggers the opener.
