• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Corbin Arm Rest's ??????

R30SHIRE

I purchased Corbin arm rests for my upcoming trip on my 2012 RT Limited. Picked it up from the dealer yesterday after they installed the arm rests. Anyone had these things installed before. The picture I took of the arm rest shows screws holding the arm rest down. Is this a standard installation or did my dealer do something stupid?? The other side has no screws at all, just the stitched Corbin logo. If this is standard, it sure has an unprofessional look.

From the Corbin website

Trunk Armrests: The latest addition to the Corbin modular lineup. These armrests give your passenger a usable area to rest their elbows where their arms fall naturally at their sides. Generously sized and shaped to allow for a wide range of statures. Corbin armrests angle outward to facilitate getting in and out of the passenger seat. Naturally, our armrests are covered in the same materials as your Corbin saddle for a totally integrated look. In the right side armrest, we have built in a mounting point for future developments (note the three chrome bolts).

Corbin Armrests

I have the Corbin seat but was considering ordering the passenger backrests with the armrests but after seeing this I don't think I like those armrests. Looks tacky for such a great machine. Maybe I'll keep looking for an alternative for the armrests.

Well then.... I too think they look pretty ugly. Why in the world would Corbin do something that tacky. I guess a call to Corbin this morning is in my plans. The arm rests were somewhere around 400. and the install was 2 hours@ 85.00 per. boy oh boy......

Gads - those look TERRIBLE (IMO) -- I thought earlier ones did not have those screws hanging out there. Tacky.

The washers and bolts look like they just came from a hardware store and were tossed on there with no class. Why not put some $.29 beauty caps on them if you want to have them there at all? I thought these armrests were the ones I would go with as I preferred a solid mount as opposed to the swinging ones but now I am not interested. It's not even a well-done "add-on for some future potential" add-on that may happen down the road (and one that many may not even want to add later).

All/Most of them have those (I think some people that ordered them directly from Corbin asked for them not to be installed). Unfortunately they never made any accessories for them and they still put the screws in there.
