so when people asked what ideas do you have for the 2014 bikes one of the things i said was a 6 speed transmission, wow how many people said i didn't need it and basically it was a bad idea. so low and behold we now have a 6 speed trans. with a larger motor and a moved radiator for less heat and a reversing fan for slow speed driving.

also better shocks, and i replaced mine, led lights, etc. etc.. i am just a lil upset and if i had the cash i would try to make a deal on a new bike, but now that i have improved the front end and did some mods and also bought flame proof underwear i like my bike so i guess i will keep it.

If mine hadn't gone up in flames I'd probably be crying along with you guys. Especially since I hadn't really planned on buying the 2013 anyway I only bought it because my 2010 broke down at Spyderfest.

Well I just feel silly pps:...
I kept saying that my bike to was too personalized to DREAM about replacing; and then they waved all of the improvements under my nose, and I bit like a hungry barracuda!

From what I see, the 3 cylinder is only in the RT models? I have never enjoyed being a beta tester for any manufacturer, my 998 will do me just fine.

Lets face the facts as they really are, Guys! If you wanted a built in wine cooler someone would say, " you don't need that." The truth be known we don't need our Spyder's to live. But owning one sure makes life so much more pleasurable in my opinion. I think I will just wait for the official word version of the 2014 announcement... If they don't find a way to exhaust the hot air out from under the skin panels they won't have to make very many units to sell.

It appears that they've performed some "magic" on the ST's body panels, and they will retrofit to the 2013s.
I'm still not 100% sure of what else they have in store for the 2013 RTs, but the 2014s have seen such a major upgrade to the cooling system that I don't foresee any trouble with it at all...

:agree: It's the air flowing under the skin to keep this machine to run cooler and get the heat out. Running the fan in reverse will help.

I have been busy reading all about the new power plant and all its goodies, the new cooling system, the new fuel management sysżem etc. I have seen the convention vid's.

I am impressed from one end to the other. Now I want to see a new one naked so I can study the layout and feel the parts.
