• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone NOT like the Ultimate Seat for the RS?

I'm leaning towards pulling the trigger, need one last shot of confidence.

I like the price vs. the Corbin, and for every person happy with a Corbin I hear from someone who says it's nice, but not for them.

I'd *really* like to get a Russell Day-Long, but I don't anticipate being my current shape and size for much longer (with any luck!), so I'd like to wait until I go custom.

I've heard plenty of raves about the Ultimate Seat, just wondering if anyone has been disappointed with that purchase, and why?

Safe riding... :doorag:

Hi Daveinva

We have the BRP Comfort seat. First impressions were it was good but after riding 2 hours our butts still get sore. Have had it for two years with no improvements
in comfort, thinking that it had to be broke in. We now have a sheepskin on top which helps a little. I am not sure any seat will be all that comfortable for us after
riding a distance. But yes it is better than the stock seat! Not sure this is helping?

I looked at getting the comfort seat, but decided that for just a little more money i would get either a day long seat or some other custom seat. I want a larger contoured bucket to help hold me in place .

A friend and I rode over to they're store in Ormond beach,Fl and bought one.Ended up returning it with in the 14 day's.The seat material was comfortable but made me sit to far forward.I also didn't like that if it rains you have to put a cover on it to keep it from getting wet.The cover was a extra $45 bucks.Living in Florida meant a lot of putting the cover on and off. We ended up going to a local hot rod shop that did car interiors and had one custom made to fit him for $225 bucks. It's just as nice but costs half as much.

Thanks... Did you get the mid-rider or low-rider version?

He got the mid-rider.The seat space is almost 2 inches shorter on the ultimate seat than the stock seat. When you sit on the stock seat and look down you can see a couple of inches of seat before the center panel. On the ultimate seat there is none.

Oh, your friend got it, that's right... Well, that's discouraging; I like the seating position I'm at now that I have my risers on, but the risers force me to sit on my hip bones versus my thighs in the stock position-- my arm and hip issues are solved by the risers, but now my keister is sore (always something, ain't it?).

Now I'm really on the fence.

When I bought my Corbin the Ultimate Seat was not an option at the time. This past April I had the opportunity to try out the Ultimate Seat and it was great.
My Corbin has about 4000 miles on it now and is comfortable for me but the wife (because of her Job) has never riden on the spyder since I put the Corbin on it and I am thinking that she is not going to be pleased with it.
If I had it to do over for the price and comfort I would not hesitate to go with the Ultimate Seat.
