• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Driver Backrest with RDL Seat Question

I just got a Russell Daylong seat for my 2016 F3-T and, although I've only ridden it 3 times for a total of 160 miles so far, I like it so far.

However, I've been mulling over whether to add a driver backrest. But I wonder whether the change in seat might cause compatibility problems.(Note: The seat pan is still the stock one, so I would think any backrest would still be compatible, but what do I know.) I asked Russell about it, and their response was simply "The backrest that CanAm offers will still work with our seat". AFAIK , there are other 3rd party backrests available for the F3-T besides BRP's, no? Would any and all of them still fit?

If not, can anyone tell me which would still fit and which would not? If ANY would still be OK, I'd appreciate any recommendations (based on personal experience).

Thanks!

I would think your best bet would be to call your prefered seat back manufacturer and see what they say. My preference is Ultimate,I had their seat backs on my Royal Stars

BTW why didn't you go with RDL when they were making your seat?

Lamonster sells a backrest built by Ultimate. It comes with a special bracket that bolts on under the seat. I just ordered a ultimate seat and they said the upper part of the backrest is the same. the lower part needs to be changed to fit the new seat. If your seat was built on the same pan just treat is as if it were stock. you can call ultimate seats to order a cover that will match better with what you have. He said they sell the covers for 40.00.
