• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Drop Tail Trailer

Pulled the bike From Tampa up to N. Georgia for a ride into N. Carolina and back. Most folks that saw the bike on the trailer thought it was custom made for the bike because it fit so well. The drop tail operation is very slick, hydraulic pump handle raises the ramp and a twist a knob it lowers. Folds in 1/2 and stands upright for storage.

Didn't see another Spyder in 2 days and 500 miles of riding, but every time we stopped, whether for the view or for gas, the Spyder attracted bikers that had read about it but never saw one. On the way home car drivers were taking photos of the bike with the cell phones, even following us off exit ramps to ask questions.

That does look like a very nice fit for the Spyder. Please post details about the trailer for those who may also be looking for a towing solution.

Nice hookup. I googled the drop tail gate and found a website that deals in these trailers. www.droptailtrailers.com out of Euless, TExas. Sells for about $2100.00 not bad and seems perfect for the Spyder. :2thumbs::spyder2::doorag:

I sure love the front end of the trailer, where it connects to the arm. The shape of the trailer follows the shape of the Spyder nose... +1000 Elegancy :2thumbs:

Nice price too.

It is the One Up Cruiser model. If you contact them they will know which trailer fits the RS. The clearance between the outside fenders of the RS and the inside fenders of the trailer is about 1" when driving it on, once clear of the fenders no worries. If the RT is wider, may need to move up to the Two Up Cruiser model for about another $300.

I bought a used 7x16 enclosed trailer in near new condition for $1800 - if she's not on the road, she's garaged.... easy to load, carry extra stuff, keep it locked, and keep unwanted backsides off the ride.... just my $0.02

I looked at enclosed trailers also, but didn't have any place to store one. The drop tail trailer folds up and rolls against the garage wall, takes up about 80" wide x 36" deep and the gate becomes a usable storage shelf. Trailers nice because it tucks in behind my SUV, you could forget it was back there except for the view in the rear view mirror of a tail-gating Sypder!
