• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It was a sunny 62 yesterday - pulled the RT out for a nice solo run - snapped on the GPS, and headed for the hills to find roads I've never been on before. Easy cruise with no one else on the roads, no other riders, no co-rider, and a shorty helmet so I could enjoy the background tunes - makes all the weeks tribulations just go away. It's how life was meant to be.

Now they are talking snow tonight and tomorrow - oh well, that's the NorthWet…...

A year ago 3/2/11 I was able to do my first ryde. It was a crisp 10-15 above if I remember right--without checking last years post. The earliest I have ridden in AK since moving here in 2001.

We got another 4-6 inches of snow over the weekend and are supposed to get another inch today. The outlook for the rest of the week is partly cloudy and mid to high 20's. We are now 9.1 inches away from the snowiest winter on record. We are currently standing at 3rd snowiest.

I am hoping it will start to begin the melt process pretty soon so that the snow and ice cover leaves my access road, and I can access the main highway.

I really have the urge to get out and start riding. Its been a long winter for me. Once again, I envy those that are able to ride.

Put skis on the front & go for it!! Supposed to be 67 down here next weekend.. you would think we all slid down to California…. (fortunately not)
