• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 RTs SE5 changing rear brake pads, every thing good EXCEPT I cannot get emergency brake ON. Cable is connected at both ends, have taken pads off and and installed caliper push e. brake button and everything moves, cable and wheels, then put the pads back on and it onlymoves cable wheel about 1 inch instead of the aprox. 6 inch it should move.. have adjust cable in and out and in between, nothing works.. What am I not seeing?? cannot find any videos of this year (2011) THAT HAS THE "C" shaped wheel in front of caliper, they all show an armature type adjustment.. anyone got a clue, im at whits end..

brake

you say emergency brake , is this also the parking brake ? not sure of the travel , in the pad , or the system ( 6 inchec ) you are talking about ... please add a photo or 2 if possible ...

Cable Travel

Hey Opie. Just put two marks on my cable at the engaged and disengaged positions and total cable travel was about 2". Don't know where you got the 6" from. But, looks like you just need to reinstall the rear cable pulley to the proper spot. Also, pull off that right side panel if not already to be sure that the cable is actually wrapped on the front pulley properly, not just attached to it.

Well....

Not that familiar with the electric park brake but on the caliper you may have to remove the parking brake lever or the "C" wheel as you mentioned and re-position it on the shaft. With the cable off you can turn the wheel clockwise till you feel it start to apply the brakes. You need to then re-position so you have 1/4 turn till contact to make sure the parking brake is released. Then re-install the holding nut and cable and try the parking brake as usual....
