At the end of July, I was at an "Olde Time Fair". They had a band there with a fellow playing one of those things. It was pretty neat! :thumbup:

Hammer dulcimers and zithers are folk instruments you can find in Appalachia and some parts of the Ozarks. Zither and autoharp are on my list of "wish I could play" instruments.

I love dulcimers - I used to make mountain dulcimers and had the plans for a hammered dulcimer - just didn't get around to making it. I got orders to Korea, spent 4 years there, then went to Hawai'i, and never had the time to get back into making them - had too many other irons in the fire.

I'm thinking about starting again, now that I'm retired.
