• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Garmin 590 Sound?

I have not used my GPS yet but was wondering if the sound comes through the speakers or do you have to use Bluetooth to hear directions?
Thanks.

RTL it will come through speakers. Fyi it does on my 660 anyway, it will auto override the radio/ipod when it has something to say. :shemademe_smilie: Can be annoying at gas pump "recalculating"! :banghead: Till you get back on track. Fyi good idea to double ck it while in parking lot:p

Thank you for letting me know. Wasn't sure if I needed to connect to my Bluetooth directly or use the radio that I already have going through the SM10.

The wiring runs along the right hand side. The audio plugs are along side the gas tank. When I first bought my 2015 sound was not coming through the speakers, turned out the wires were not plugged together. I now secure them with zip ties.

The directions come through "Loud and Clear" on the radio speakers... :2thumbs:
The GPS directions (when coming through...) mute the original radio output, so it's VERY easy to listen to.

Unlike our Toyota... There is no muting of the music that's being played! :banghead:
