• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas Cap Coming Loose - Anyone else run into this issue?

I have a 2013 RT S and it constantly loosens itself. I twist it down until it clicks several times but at times I smell gas, open the seat and the cap twists open real, real easy and stops smelling once I tighten the cap back down.
Anyone else run into this issue?

I don’t recall that particular problem happening to the Spyders, however BRP did have a recall on early machines where they replaced gas caps. I don’t remember what years were affected. I would definitely get a new gas cap ASAP. The last thing you want is for gas to spill out or gas fumes to build up under the plastic. You can get a replacement at an auto parts store.

I had the same problem with my 2013 RT-S. I changed the cap to Stant part #10835. If you have a Pep-boys or Autozone near you their #11835. I changed the cap 1yr after buying my Spyder new and never looked back. Good Luck!
