Gel Seat??

I have a 2008 RS. seats ok , but I've noticed other riders have a gel seat straped onto the original in some of there pics. Could anyone shed some light on where I could find one ?? Thanks so much...

Or go with some beads. I had swamp butt issue with my 2008, added a reclaimed car bead seat and it felt like I had an A/C unit in my seat. :thumbup: No more swamp butt, even when it was 95F.

I do not have a picture of the modified seat cover, but take a look at this site for inspiration.

Go to any car store, pick up the bead car seat and modify it to fit the front and you can have one for the passenger as well.

I have a gel insert in my seat that is a huge improvement over stock. Motorcycle Dave makes a great seat if you are interested in upgrading.

I put an '13 STS seat on my '08 (it's a straight swap) and it's very comfortable (sure feels like gel seat). I purchased the seat on SL, as a take-off

The addon gel seat cushion is from Butt Buffer. They really work and do not raise you up or feel squishy like the AirHawk. Love mine.

An Ultimate Seat solved my GS Problem BUT
To be comfortable in Hot weather I was using Baby Powder, Etc!!!

Switched to a Skin Lotion, Derma-what ever (You Know Where?) and It solved the problem!

I am glad you are happy with it, I have been installing Gel in seats for over 15 years and there
is nothing that is better. you have a seat that will let you ride all day and have a happy butt.

I have a set that straps on like what you described. I used it for a trip from Southern California to SITR back in 2012. I paid $100.00 for it, and if you are interested I'll let you have the set for $60.00 (including shipping). Give me a couple days to get a picture up.
