• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone found riding gloves that work with a smartphone touch screen?

sometimes I can get my iphone to work, but not often.

Too many..!!

but they do also have a dip and a spray to apply to your exsisting gloves...just have to hund them out..!!

This is what you want:

http://www.amazon.com/CanaKit-Condu...=1383014475&sr=8-1&keywords=conductive+thread

It's called conductive thread. You'll want to make a small knot and then thread it through the fingertip of your glove. Then on the inside make another small knot to hold it in place, and leave a decent sized wad of thread in there to make contact with your finger. That's all it takes! The knot on the outside will now work on all touch screen devices. I do this to all my pointer fingers and thumbs for my gloves. I use the exact thread I linked to as well.

:dontknow: Is it really THAT important, that you'd interrupt a ride over it?

Me... I get on the bike to get away from the phone!

Agreed Bob. My phone serves 1 purpose on a Ryde, and that is to connect my Helmet with the 14000 songs I have in the cloud. If the music stops, then it's time for a break anyway. I. Let all calls on a ryde go to VM.

The only reason my phone is associated with my Bluetooth in my helmet is so I know if someone is calling me. If someone calls, I pull over, check the voicemail, and, if needed, call them back. Since I have music on the phone, too, I'll listen to it, just because it is there. I don't talk on my phone while driving my car or ryding my :spyder2: . . . too distracting and no phonecall is worth dying over.

Did not work for me...

I bought some from Amazon and even worked with the creator as they kept saying it will work...well it didn't....I did find some Northface mid weight gloves that are ok but not for cold weather (like this am...28' and I'm heading out )...so my opinion of the "stuff" to apply to existing ryding gloves...Don't waste your time or $$...altho Amazon did refund my $$...
