• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just an update. Talked to Doc a minute ago. He is cruising along, Spyder running great. He told me his next stop, other than pitstops, wont be until Salt Lake City.
Thats when I told him he is NUTS.:D:D:D

NUTS ?????????? nah.... he is a .?.?.?.? well he knows, and all can fill in the blanks.

I chatted early with Doc when he was in Nashville, TN.. He stated that he was bored.. bored..bored.

He also stated for those traveling on 75 from the FL/GA boarder to Atlanta, .. DO NOT go over 5 mpg over the speed limit... The police are in full force. However, he did not see any north of Atlanta.

Thanks for the updates. I am assuming that with his hardware running he was not one of them that was getting a ticket. :D

Keep us updated best you can.. Glad to hear that the spyder is running great, thats a plus for sure..

UPDATE..

Chatted a little with Doc a few moments ago and Overnight Temp was quite cool.
He has just passed Kansas City, Mo, and Across the Big Mo River into Kansas.
No problems with the spyder.
No one wants to race.
Still bored.
Long ride in Kansas, then Colo, and then to Salt Lake City. He may be arriving in Salt Lake City, tonight, with rest, and tomorrow (Wed) oil change, checking in at salt flats.

Doc,

You are simply amazing! My prayers  are with you and hope to see you again at Lamont's next week :chat:.

Good luck! :firstplace:

David

Update:

Got a call from Doc and he is crossing Wyoming and will be in Salt Lake City Tomorrow morning ( wed )

All is good, However, he sounds a bit tired.

That is one heck of a haul, so i hope he is not overly tired and continues to make it there safely. He may almost be there now. Go Doc Go!

Doc did his qualifying run and burnt up his Barnett clutch. I had a spare one here but he made arrangements with the local dealer to pull the clutch out of a floor unit and stick it in his Spyder. He's living on the edge for sure. :2thumbs:

I just missed a call from him. Now I know what it was about. That Barnett clutch was doing good too. I guess wide open for that ling and it couldnt take it. Or maybe Doc has been playing around with the boost controller.

We all know Doc...

Wow, I thought the Barnett clutch would definitely hold up better for him than a stock one, but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

Best of luck with the upcoming runs Doc.
