• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good ride. 220 miles down to the coast and back. Stopped at a rest area for a stretch and relief. As we were leaving an older gentleman stopped to chat. Said he saw the Spyders parked there and wanted to get a closer look. Nice fella. Said he had a Goldwing but hasn't been able to drive because he's may need a heart transplant. He also said he was 71 and didn't know if he would get the transplant because of his age. So down the road we go. Next stop was a Dunkin Donuts for a cup and a free donut. Gentleman pulls in as we're getting off the Spyders and starts asking questions. Turns out he's a retired USAF Colonel and a dentist. We end up sitting in the donut shop for about 45 minutes having our drinks and donuts and good conversation. Turns out he and his wife are looking to move back to Phoenix, Az. to be closer to their kids. He's seriously looking to get a Spyder when they get out there. After that it's on to our destination, Beaufort, NC. By the way, that's pronounced BOFORT, here in North Carolina. Not to be confused with BEWFURT in South Carolina.

Back to the gentleman at the donut shop, he tells us of a place we have to try for lunch in Beaufort. We find the place, and true to his word the food is really good. After a few more conversations about the Spyders, walk off lunch, look at two nice size yachts docked on the waterfront, one registered London, it's back on the road.

Tomorrow it's back to rain, rising temps, humidity...

Glad your having a great ride in nice weather. We have had continuing thunderstorms here in Missouri for 5 days now and it is forecast to continue all week. The spyders do not like being cooped up in the garage.

I have noticed that going anywhere with the Spyder takes extra time as people stop you in the parking lot to ask about it. You meet nice people. And you sometime meet the other people too ;-)Can't wait for it to get cooler here in Houston. I picked up some of those terrible bandannas that have some sort of water absorbing crystal in them and tried it today. Really not bad. If you use them, pack a baggie in the trunk so you can put it in without getting the other stuff wet. Plus keeps it from drying out.I wonder if it will get cold enough this year for me to switch to the modular? ;-)

Cowboy, you folks have been getting hammered. Looks like the heavy stuff has settled in out there. And folks complained about the rain st Spyderfest.
