• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

after writing BRP this morning about the heat issues and problems getting parts i just got a e mail back saying sorry your having problems getting parts what dealer did you buy your unit from. not one mention of the heat issue. so i guess it is like all things in life, we are just a number. i urge you so write them about the heat problems at [email protected]

I agree everyone who has a 2013 needs to stay on BRP until these bikes are able to take us down the rode without the major heat issues...

Bob...I sent an email to my case worker to see if BRP will allow me to test the new "enhanced air flow body panels" we will see
Char,
I understand that they've made some body panel changes to the new Sts... have you investigated them yet?

The 2014 STS seems to have revised body panels that may be applicable to earlier STs. The front of the RT is completely new and the new dual radiators are mounted up front so none of that would be applicable to the 2013 without a LOT of work and expense. Are some of the ST and RT body panels for 2013 the same such that some of the new 2014 ST panels might be applied to the 2013 RT to help cooling?

radiators

i am wondering if the new rt's give up some frunk space because of the radiators being moved up to the front

Funny BRP denies the heat issue, but fixes it on the 2014 RT.

new e mail

i just got a case number from BRP about my heat issues in a new e mail, now i have a question for everyone smarter than me. do you think that the few mods i have done for heat like the upper block off plate and the removal of the two lower pans when i put the highway pegs on will be a warranty issues when i bring the bike in for the heat wrap of the master cylinder. now here is the e mail i just got and i think we should all fight for a service case number so it will make them think.

Your case number is #######. You can use this number as a reference if you call the support center.

Thank you,

As I was told the twin radiator fans now reverse at speeds lower than 5 mph to push the hot air away from your feet.

You're bringing in your spyder for a safety recall, not a warranty claim. They probably won't even notice your mods. However, if you were actually bringing it in because your legs are getting hot, and you wanted them to check it out, you might run into a problem. They could end up saying you caused an airflow problem and charge you. But, a safety recall and warranty work are two separate issues.

I would doubt it. If your worried about the pans being gone just put them back on. Also if you don't have them anymore just post it here and ill send u a set to use while it gos to the dealer.

Sent from my Galaxy S3. I may have made a spelling error or may have some grammer issues. My fingers are way to big to type on this tiny screen!
