• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

grips question

Have a bas 2010 RT. NO radio type RT. It does have heated driver grips but I don't think the passenger grab rails are heated as there is no heat control in the rear. Anyway, the grips on my RT cause my hands to tingle/numb a bit. Can they be changed out while retaining the heated capability to say Iso-grips from Kuryakyn (or some other softer and vibration absorbing grip). The vibration isn't bad but I have a nifty case of arthritis; especially in my right hand. I don't want to wrap them as I don't really want thicker grips. TIA

You have the RT audio and convenience package so there are no heated passenger grips.
Lamont installed ISO grip over the stock heated grips here is the link http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...-(with-heat)&highlight=lamonster+grip+install

Try the foam grips from Tricled, they are soft and eliminate most vibration from the bike, the heat comes thru fine and they do not irritate your hands. I highly recommend them. The problem that i have with grip buddies is that they have a seam that annoys my hands.

I also have the Tric-LED foam grips and I love them. No problems getting the heat through them. Super easy to install too.

:agree: 100% with everything Joe just said. I like them much better than the Grip Buddies for the same reason. Also, you can buy two pair of these from TricLED at a nice discount, so when the first pair eventually wears out, you have a back-up. They are soft, but they seem to ware pretty well. Mine have been on about 18 months now, and don't look like they will need replaced anytime soon.

I've had to use Grip Puppies (the original foam grip covers) on every bike I've owned.

They work great and are cheap. Heck.. I even put them on my zero turn mower and my bicycle!

Agree on the grip buddies... could not deal with a seam.

I have a Spyder RT. 2010. NO RADIO. Heated grips but no rear heated passenger grab rails. I knew about the KuryAkyn grips that cover Goldwing heated grips but really do not like very thick grips. I will check out the others suggested.
