There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Probably not in our lifetime, but it could happen. Remember, the 2nd Amendment is .......... an AMENDMENT. That means it was a change tacked onto the original document. Someday, like maybe in 50 to 100 years from now, there just may be enough people in this country opposed to the wide availability of all types of firearms and decide it is time to AMEND the Constitution again. Your right to carry arms is NOT guaranteed to last forever. You have no way of knowing what the political will of the American people will be 50 to 100 years from now.
IMO, if the gun lobby were smart they would get away from their short sighted view of the issue, look down the road 100 years from now, and start working for changes that will ensure the right to keep and bear arms will continue in some form far into the future. Often in life, when the attitude is that it's the whole loaf or nothing, you end up with nothing. That could happen to the gun rights advocates.
