For a Spyder? Nope! Your rear wheel will have to turn the entire trip. That is made for tagging a car along.

Just kidding! Rent a bigger proper trailer with a drop down gate, but not the one made for regular motorcycles.
Tip: measure your front wheels fender to fender across the front. It’s the ramp type trailer that you want. The toy hauler trailer may work also. Say 3 x 8 ft ramps. But I used the other.

Think I asked same question a decade or so ago, with removing the belt from the rear wheel & securing it to the swing arm. Still nope! A flat utility trailer is safer, easier, & just better!

I seriously contemplated modifying one of these to carry my spyder facing forward with all three wheels off the ground. It's very doable, but with a lot of modification issues. Finally, I said to hell with it and found a great deal on this site for an aluminum trailer with a ramp and super chocks. I believe I would agree with, "don't do it."

You went with the better, easier way to do it if you want an open trailer!!

Yes, so far I've only used it once for the Spyder. We had to evacuate due to a forest fire, and my wife towed it behind her car. It came in very handy for that reason. Drive on, two very simple tie downs, and gone.

I wouldn't consider wasting my time trying to modify something, but would put max effort in trying to find a deal on an aluminum trailer.

I went with a Stinger CAN-AM trailer. Pricey, but specifically designed to carry a CAN-AM 3-wheeler.

I just went through the steps, and it is NOT cheap.
It goes for US $89.95 per day.

A 6'x12' trailer with a full width ramp goes for US $34.95 per day.

U-HAUL now has a 3-ramp toy hauler trailer, it's a little over kill for a Spyder, but it has the ramps for a trike!

Well... I gave it “the old college try”, but was not able to load them. We got 5” of rain yesterday/last night, and the wet tire and ramp was causing the rear tire to try to spin out and slide sideways once all three were on the ramps. With no spotter to help, I decided to quit while I was ahead. I did need to lay a 2x4 across the front of the outside ramps to get more clearance for the nose on the middle ramp. I had the truck and trailer dead flat, and not sure whether the actuator arm was gonna clear, as I did not get it up far enough to have the front wheels even on the deck. However...
