• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for some help to get tunes to my helmet. What are some of your suggestions?
Speakers in the helmet
Blue tooth
Ear buds:banghead:

I would never ride with noise cancelling speakers or ear buds. Since I have an RT with BRP cb/com m system I use J&M wired helmet speakers and Mic.
Before I got the CB/Comm system installed I used Sena bluetooth headset and played music through them, sound was great.

Sena speakers are wafer thin and fit both open face and full face helmet great and sound. J&M speakers were a bit thick to fit inside the helmets. Now J&M Audio offer thinner spaeakers

Hope this helps

Let's see..!!

as simple as using a standard head set to getting a complex system. Depends on what you want. Some systems have intercom radio mp3 gps and phone capabilities. If you are simply wanting to play music a speaker set will work fine. Plug it into your music source and go. Some units to check out would be Scala, cena, chatterbox etc...happy hunting..

I was in San Diego in 1975 with the navy. Now being a spyder owner i wish i was back there. In upstate ny with the snow and cold:(. Can't wait till spring:pray:

Before I had my sena I had some speakers from a wired winter hat I got a few years back. I connected them to an iPod shuffle that I had velcroed into the side of the chin bar of my helmet. Worked great and I could fully control the music even with gloves

If you don,t need to talk to a passenger then Simply ear buds cut out a lot of wind noise and engine sound BUT still enable you to hear Sirens and such?:dontknow:

OOPS I almost forgot, I once made my own when I bought my fancy new 1977
GoldWing and put a Vetter faring and cycle sound I used a coiled cord and an RCA
plug, along with some pillow speakers I got at radio shack, I wired it into the
car radio I had mounted into the cycle sound so when I plugged in the RCA plug into the radio
it cancelled out the speakers and transferred the sound to the pillow speakers I put into my helmet.

If you do not care about $$$ Sena is a fine unit. Mine does everything I want and $86 for a set. I do not use the bike radio/ Ipod it is useless at highway speeds anyway. I have full functionality and I have a spare just in case. I use winamp for music on my phone and google maps and phone calls override the music. Like I said though for longer rides GPS eats a phone battery so I have a USB plug in my dash and keep it plugged into my phone. It sounds great and is adjustable volume on the fly.

I use the Sena SMH10 units from Motorcycle Dave. They came in a pair and are easy to install and use. Stream music from my phone and my wife streams her music to her helmet. Great for bike to bike, and the charge lasts all day.

I being using the Uclear 200 but for the second time after few months when I have an inbound call they cant hear me I will be also changing to a different brand, now I have to stop and pick up the phone and that is not cool at all.....:banghead::banghead:

Odd. My UCLEAR has been great. Running the latest firmware? What phone?

I use the new Bose noise-cancelling ear buds. They are exorbitantly expensive, but they are really, really good.
